Photoworks x Peckham 24: Chad Alexander and ANSELM EBULUE in conversation with Lillian Wilkie

  • Studio 1, Sunset Studios Unit B2.1, 2nd Floor, RED STAIRS, Bussey Building 133 Copeland Road London, England, SE15 3SN United Kingdom (map)

Writer, editor, and publisher Lillian Wilkie speaks to artists Chad Alexander and Anselm Ebulue about how they use photography to explore the connections between people and their environments, and the tensions between place and identity. Drawing on Alexander’s project Inquiry, on display at this year’s edition of Peckham 24, as well as Ebulue’s Whims of the Rye, the conversation further engages with questions of what it means to make work within and around your own communities, and how memories of the past continue to shape the present.
